The Smart Sermon — our mission

A systematic revival of the Friday Sermon.

We believe the Friday Salah should be more than a ritual to fill a hall — it should cultivate and empower Muslims week after week. With state-of-the-art technology, and strategic policy making, we want to establish the Smart Sermon: an accessible, intelligent, and amplified teaching institute that empowers its listeners week after week.

"Hurry towards the Reminder of God" (62:9)

The sermon is one of our most consistent gatherings — yet it often stops at ritualistic attendance, not at transformation.

The Vision

A Friday reminder that reaches who it’s meant for, improves every week, and carries forward into everyday life.

01Accessible

Make the khutbah clear, present, and understood by everyone in the room.

  • Live, line by line text for increased youth focus and engagement
  • Full captions for d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing attendees
  • Arabic, English, Urdu; seamless live translation so language is not a barrier

02Intelligent

Move from guesswork to clarity

  • Post-khutbah insight into summaries, highlights, topics, and more
  • Multi-week views to get a high level view of over and under represented topics
  • Engagement patterns and feedback collection to better serve your congregation

03Amplified

Let the reminder extend beyond the masjid without extra burden.

  • Strategic content distribution across social media platforms
  • Automated, scheduled clips and reminders from sermon topics
  • Supplemental content and resources to help the community engage with the sermon

Some of our tools

The sermon as mandatory attendance The sermon as a living institute

Raise the Minbar exists for one mission: to establish the Friday sermon as a living, breathing institute. The Smart Sermon is about bringing the sermon back to 'life'; so it can transform its audience but also grow itself to better serve its audience.

We are a team that has been deeply involved in Islamic organizations for years; organizing lectures, coordinating sermons across multiple mosques, and serving our communities.

Through this experience, we realized something critical: the Friday Sermon saw a continious and consistent set of attendees week after week, yet it would quickly become a ritual that rarely met its potential. We are building for communities who refuse to settle. Those who want intelligence, growth, and purpose in their service of God, not autopilot repeats or motivational soundbytes. We build for those who believe the largest weekly classroom Muslims share deserves the same seriousness as any other institution that claims to Remind the Believers of God.

For years, we have focused on the hard work of gathering the believers, now we are building the mechanisms to transform them.

We are piloting live programming now — across languages and abilities, on site and online — and we are looking for Mosques who share this mission to help shape what comes next.

Establish the Smart Sermon for your community.

Are you an organizer, on the board, or involved in leadership?

We are inviting a handful of Mosques for a trial setup: to align technology with your governance, priorities, and real sermon workflows — so leadership can decide with evidence and Muslims can be empowered week after week. If that resonates, we'd like to talk.
